Calvary Chapel had an amazing Christmas Eve Service this year.
Since Christmas fell on a Sunday this year, we wanted to make this year extra special and had dinner catered in by Bravo Ristorante in West Des Moines so that we could be together a little longer.
As every year, we worshipped the Lord with Christmas song then Pastor Josh brought the kids up front for the reading of the Tale of the Three Trees, By Angela Elwell Hunt. A book we have been reading to the kids every year since the tradition started around 2003 by former Pastor, Wayne Goranson and his bride, Brooke. This was followed up by Pastor Brent who shared a message on Isaiah 9 which was unlike any other message we had heard before. The worship and teaching can be seen here.
We topped off the evening with our other tradition of singing the Twelve Days of Christmas together as a fellowship.
