Calvary Chapel Des Moines has a long-standing tradition started by former Pastor and his wife, Wayne and Brooke Goranson, that included not only worship and teaching, but also a reading of the book, The Tale of the Three Trees, by Angela Elwell Hunt, and the singing of the Twelve Days of Christmas.
Here is a look back at Christmas Eve, 2008. It was the first service Pastor Brent led as the Lead Pastor of Heartland Christian Fellowship in the old white church. You can see many of the kids are all grown, some with family of their own; some not with us any longer; and the rest of us with more grey in our hair.
